System tampered means that the security mechanism in the terminal has triggered and rendered it unusable, so unfortunately, you have to replace it.
What does a "TAMPER" message indicate?
The tamper message can be thrown for many different reasons, most common one is that the device gets dropped on the ground and something breaks.
The "TAMPER" message is exactly what is says, the device think something or someone has tampered with it and shuts down and becomes unusable, this will also happen if you try to remove any screws that keeps the device together.
If you try to deploy your own software on them it will also get tampered immediately.
