The following document will walk you through the two part process of configuring your printer
1. Downloading the Driver for your printer
2. Installing the Print Driver on your Computer
In order to complete this process you will need the IP Address of your copier. You can get this by.
1. Press the Settings/Registration button on the copier.
2. Select Preferences
3. Select Network
4. Select User Data List and press Yes to print
5. The IP Address is on the first page of the report that prints out.
At the end of this process your printer will be added to your computer and you will be able to print.
If you’re still experiencing issues after installing your printer please contact the help desk at 1-800-355-1385. Select option 1, then option 2, and 1 again in the menu.

In the Search box at the top right hand corner type your model number. Ex. If you have a Canon iR ADVC5550* type “5550” and highlight your machine. *Some machines have external print controllers called “Fiery”. If yours does (you will see an icon or tab on the main menu titled “printer” or Fiery” if you do) then THAT becomes your model in this instance – E.G – “Imagepass- P1” Then press the magnifying glass to search. |

In your search results, select Drivers & Downloads listed under your model copier. |

Installing Mac Print Driver
On the Driver page it will select what type of computer you have. There is a long list of drivers to select. All Canon copiers can print using the UFR Print Driver. Note: It is suggested to use UFR, if you prefer PCL or PS please check with your IT to determine if you have a license to print PCL or PS*. *In the case of a Fiery (imagepass or colorpass..etc) the recommended driver will be the latest one at the top usually a PS (postscript) driver. See your IT or the CSA support desk with any questions. |

Open Download and click on the Installer |

Press Continue on the Introduction |

Select Yes to the License Agreement Select Agree when prompted to continue. |

Select Install on the Installation Type Screen If prompted, type the password for the Mac. |

Press Close to complete the Installation of the Driver. |

Press the Apple at the top left hand corner of the screen and select System Preferences. |

On the Left hand side of Printers & Scanners press the “+” button. |

Select the IP tab at the top of the window that opens |

Enter the IP Address of the copier into the Address Field. Make sure Protocol is Line Printer Daemon – LPD Leave Queue field empty. (See your IT or CSA Helpdesk for any other options in this field) You can Name the printer whatever you’d like. Location is also optional an can be left blank Then Select the drop down next to use... |

Select “Select Software” in the drop down menu |

Enter the Model number in the search box and select your printer. Press OK when finished. |

It will bring you back to this screen where you can press Add. Once added you should see a green idle for status which means the printer is ready. |
