Adyen and iPad not communicating? - Confirm Terminal is Boarded

Board the terminal only after successfully connecting the device to the internet, and performing a device security inspection

1- Connect payment terminal and iPad/iPhone to UNTUCKit WiFi.

Tip: Your confirmation on either device is a check mark near the WiFi network name.
Tip: Ensure other WiFI networks are forgotten on your iOS device to avoid auto joining networks you've connected to in the past.
Tip: Ensure auto join is on for the UNTUCKit WiFi network.

2- Ensure card reader is configured  properly in Associate app.


On the Adyen card reader navigate to TCP/IP settings:
  1. Press  9 
  2. Enter admin pin  
  3. Press 1 for Network 
  4. Press 2 for WiFi 
  5. Press # to scroll down 
  6. Press 3 for TCP/IP Settings
  7. Note the card reader's IP address e.g. 192.168.1.233
Confirm card reader configuration in Associate app:
  1. Login to the Associate app
  2. Touch the ellipses (...) in the bottom right corner (settings)
  3. Configure Card Reader
  4. If the card reader's IP address does not match what is configured in the Associate app, reconfigure.

3- Test your Adyen payment terminal WiFi Connection

On Adyen payment terminal you can confirm by testing the PSP connection: 
  1. Admin Menu
  2. Network
  3. Diagnostics
  4. PSP connection
  5. Start 
Our confirmation is all green checkmarks here.  If we get one or more red X's, reset WiFi settings by navigating to Admin Menu > Network > WiFi > WiFi Reset.

Once the config is erased, please try connecting to your WiFi network again by doing the following: 
  1. Hold green button + 9 at the same time, which will access the Admin Menu. 
  2. Select Network (1) > WiFi (2) > Networks (2). 
  3. Select Scan (1) > Search for your store’s WiFi network name (use # and * to navigate up or down) 
  4. Use the green button to select your WiFi network. 
  5. Enter your WiFi password. 
  6. Hit green button to confirm. 
  7. Hit green button again to ensure that the WiFi profile is activated. 
Tip: Any device connect to a WiFi network carries with it, several pieces of it's network information. e.g. IP address, subnet mask, gateway, DNS.

4- Board your terminal

  1. On the terminal, select Board the terminal.

  2. Follow the instructions for your situation:

    SituationInstructions
    The "Board the terminal" button doesn't show.The terminal is boarded already. If you recently reassigned the terminal to a different store, wait until the next synchronization with the Adyen platform (on average every three hours) and try again.
    The display shows a list of stores.
    1. Find your store; you can Search by city and/or scroll the list.
    2. Select your store.
    3. Select Confirm.
    The display shows one store.Select Confirm to accept the store that the terminal was assigned to.

    If this is not the correct store, reassign the terminal in the Customer Area and try again.

    The display asks for a password.

    If you didn't assign the terminal:

    1. Cancel the boarding.
    2. Assign the terminal to a store.
    3. Board the terminal.
    4. Follow the instructions below to find and enter the password.

    If you assigned the terminal, contact TECHit to find the password for you to enter:

    1. In the Adyen Customer Area, go to Point of sale > Terminals.
    2. Search for the terminal by serial number.
    3. Click on the row of your terminal to open the detail page, and find the password in the One time password field.
    4. On the terminal keypad, enter the password.

The terminal reboots one or more times.

Your terminal is now boarded and ready to process payments.
